Lalit Narayan Mithila University, or LNMU, is a well-known public university in Darbhanga, Bihar. It has been a center for education for more than 50 years since being founded in 1972. It was originally known as just Mithila University, but Lalit Narayan Mithila, a well-known academic from the Mithila region, was honored with the new name.
LNMU provides a broad range of courses, ranging from postgraduate degrees and Ph.D. programs to undergraduate programs including B.A. and B.Sc. There’s strong representation in the fields of science, art, and commerce, and for those who are unable to visit campus every day, there’s even a Directorate of Distance Education. The campus itself is a hub of activity for students and is situated in Kameshwaranagar, Darbhanga.
